Cryogenic therapy is a relatively new medical practice that is slowly beginning to replace other low temperature therapies.  It involves exposing the patients entire body to liquid nitrogen for a small amount of time (no more than three minutes or less, as to keep tissues from being damaged).  The cold triggers the release of endorphins which allow for natural pain relief.
